The underarm brace was created by a breast cancer patient to promote air circulation and to relieve pain and pressure under the arm
after a lymphnode dissection and radiation therapy. The device is adjustable and can be used to brace the arm away from the body while
walking, sleeping, or riding in an automobile. The brace also prevents irritation from burns during radiation therapy. It is an invaluable aid
to a patient’s comfort during recovery.
- The brace is hourglass shaped to fit the contour of the patient's waist.
- The bands are permanently attached to the cushion and allow custom fitting by cutting excess belt length.
- The cover is designed for engagement with Velcro® hook fasteners, making it detachable for repositioning of the arm.
- The brace is 100% nylon with polyester foam core and nylon tricot backing.
- Easily cleaned with mild detergent.
- The brace can be removed from the waistband and positioned on the knee or thigh to elevate the arm and prevent irritation of the underarm area while riding in a motor vehicle.
- Conforms to California flammability codes T.R. 117 Section AI and T.R. Section DII.
